"… the band released their first single to the album, 'Carnage' which is a blueprint for how the rest of the album would sound like. All eight tracks bleed effortlessly into the next, creating a beautiful and haunting soundscape that could easily live inside a dive bar in a David Lynch nightmare." — Steve Hatley, Where Y'at Magazine

They Dared Her
Big Fang (Acts of Violins)
The Quaalords are a New Orleans based trio. Fueled by hard rock, and swayed by 80’s horror films, they craft tunes evoking suspense and nightmares with guitar heavy, beat driven instrumentals.
The band released their debut self titled LP in 2018. After a lineup change, violinist/bassist, Makki Ferguson joined and they performed numerous live shows honing their new sound. The classical, cinematic vibe of the violin and the ethereal weirdness of the theremin accents their heaviness with Lauren’s relentless drumming and Jeff’s driving guitar.
Their last show before the lockdown was for the Lords of Leather masked Mardi Gras ball under the theme of Horror Movies from the 80’s, a hedonistic party of 900+ revelers, leather corsets, hellish costumes and the Quaalords providing the soundtrack.
Right after that show the band went into the studio to begin their second album soon to be released in 2021 led by their single of Halloween Theme ’68, a surf rock inspired rendition of John Carpenter’s most popular work.
